In the Vinho Verde Demarcated Region changes in the socio-economic system in recent years have created a need for winemakers to become aware of new viticultural technologies that reduce production costs and increase profitability. Technical information regarding cultural practices in the vineyard must be made available to winegrowers to enable them to make the most of this region’s assets. 

Much of said technical and scientific knowledge has resulted from experimentation carried out over more than 25 years at EVAG - The Amândio Galhano Viticultural Station.
